Pan Zhanle claimed his seventh gold at China's national swimming championships on Saturday, representing the Tianjin-Shanghai-Zhejiang-Henan team to win the men's 4x100m medley relay.
The team, composed of Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, Wang Changhao and Pan Zhanle, dominated the race in 3 minutes and 31.91 seconds.
In the women's 4x100m medley relay, the star-studded Shanxi-Shanghai-Jiangsu-Jiangxi-Shandong team, composed of Wan Letian, Tang Qianting, Zhang Yufei and Yang Junxuan, won in 3:53.76. Zhang Yufei pocketed her fifth gold in the championships.
The women's 50m freestyle final saw an intense battle. Wu Qingfeng renewed his personal best to clinch the title in 24.22 seconds. Zhang Yufei touched the wall only 0.08 seconds later to take the silver, and Yang Junxuan got the bronze.
In the men's 1,500m freestyle final, Fei Liwei was crowned in 14:49.30 and qualified for the Paris Olympics, followed by Zhang Zhushuo and Zhao Xianhao.
